Draft Waste Management Strategy for Tasmania
The Department of Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts has engaged Blue Environment Pty Ltd to prepare a draft Tasmanian Waste Management Strategy. The purpose of the strategy is to develop a vision for future waste management in Tasmania.
The strategy will benefit all stakeholders with interests in waste management by providing clear direction and identifying key waste management priorities for Tasmania and will provide a policy framework for Regional waste management planning.
A draft of the Waste Management Strategy for Tasmania has now been developed and released for public review. A copy of the draft Strategy and an accompanying Background Report, which should be read in conjunction with the Draft Strategy, can be downloaded as a PDF below.
These are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and require the use of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Reader is easy to download and is free of charge.
Interested parties are invited to provide written submissions in response to the draft strategy. Submissions will be received up to 5 October 2007 and should be sent by email to christine.wardle@blueenvironment.com.au.
