Monitoring Air Pollution
There are hundreds of pollutants in the air we breathe. In Tasmania monitoring of air pollution focuses on particulate matter smaller than 10 micrometres in the major urban centres. Particulate matter is an indicator of urban air pollution in Tasmania.
-
Of the six major air pollutants that affect local air quality, Tasmania is only required to conduct monitoring for particulate matter.
