Minimal Impact Boating Strategy
The care of our waterways is a joint responsibility. While pollution of our coasts and seas primarily originates on land, and waste generated by small boat users is insignificant, is it wise to act now to maintain our relatively pristine waterways.
This Strategy, developed with Coastcare funding, discusses ways in which boat owners of vessels less than 25 metres can contribute to maintaining a healthy coastal and marine environment.
Part 1 of the Strategy includes the following sections:
- Introduction
- Why Tasmania Needs a Strategy
- The Aims of the Strategy
- How the Strategy was Developed
- Marine Debris and Pollution
- Protecting Sensitive Coastal Environments
Part 2 of the Strategy includes the following sections:
- Protecting Marine Biodiversity
- Boat Maintenance
- Recommendations
- Appendices A to I
