Coastlink Action Plan for Marine and Coastal Management in North East Tasmania
This Plan sets out actions and projects for the Dorset, Break O'Day and Glamorgan Spring Bay municipalities. Central to the plan is a table of more than 40 coastal management actions.
The first part of the document provides a rationale for why an action plan is necessary and describes the Coastlink Steering Committee. The development of the Plan is also discussed.
The second part of the document is the Action Plan and discusses implementation, adaptive management, integrated natural resource management and resourcing coastal management.
Part three includes Appendices 1-3:
- Appendix 1 is the 1995 Marine and Coastal Management Strategy for the region.
- Appendix 2 provides an awareness, knowledge and skills program.
- Appendix 3 provides an information and monitoring program including a set of environmental management indicators for the region.
Part four includes Appendix 4, the 2001-2002 Operational Plan for the project.
